Busey Introduces Zelle® to Online and Mobile Banking

Busey is pleased to announce we have partnered with Zelle®—now live in eBank and on the Busey – Mobile app.

Person to person payments enable you to send money to another person right from your online or mobile banking app using a linked bank account, credit card or debit card. You can think of it as a digital replacement for cash or checks. Sending money this way is more convenient than writing checks or handling cash, and it has quickly become a popular way to send money across many age groups. In fact, nearly one in five Americans utilized P2P payments in 2020.¹

More than 140 million consumers have access to Zelle® in their mobile banking apps or through the Zelle® app, making digital payments a fast, safe and easy alternative. Money sent with Zelle® goes directly from one bank account in the U.S. to another, using only a recipient’s email address or U.S. mobile number. Money sent with Zelle® is typically available within minutes when both parties are already enrolled. Those not enrolled who receive a payment notification or a request for payment can enroll through their financial institution or by downloading the Zelle® app if their financial institution does not participate.
