Volunteer Spotlight Featuring Meghan Carpenter
October 2024 BUSEY'S VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH
Meghan Carpenter
Living the Busey promise in her community, Meghan Carpenter, Universal Banker, is being recognized as Busey’s Volunteer of the Month.
Since September, Meghan has worked alongside her coworker, Zach Nolan, Universal Banker, to mentor two high school students, through Christ the King School. Through this program, they’ve not only introduced these students to the operations of the bank, but also provided them with the opportunity to shadow and learn from various departments, including IT, Commercial, Mortgage, and Wealth. Meghan’s dedication to the program has had a profound impact on these students, helping them understand how teamwork and cross-department collaboration can lead to success, no matter what career path they choose.
In addition to her work with the students, Meghan has highlighted the importance of teamwork and collaboration with her fellow associates, including supervisors Jason King, AVP – IT Innovation & Date Governance Manager and Ali Neault, VP – Director of Career Development. Together, they have created a learning environment where both the students and mentors can grow. Meghan and Zach have embraced the opportunity to share their expertise and also reflect on their own professional development. This experience has not only enriched the students' understanding of the banking world but has also helped Meghan and Zach discover new ways to engage and inspire others.
Congratulations, Meghan!
