Supported by over four decades of experience, Peter provides a wealth of knowledge to his customers and fellow Busey associates in the Northern Illinois region.
I started my banking career in 1978 and joined Glenview State Bank, now Busey Bank, a year later. As Senior Vice President of Real Estate Lending with Glenview State Bank, I managed mortgage loan origination for over a dozen NMLS registered loan officers and was their ‘go-to’ source for questions regarding various aspects of the process.
As a lifelong resident of Northern Illinois, I’m familiar with the diverse and unique needs of the communities we serve. I’m extremely proud when I can help our customers fulfill their dreams of homeownership. Throughout the process, transparency and communication are key to ensuring the customer has the loan that makes financial sense for their needs—now and in the future.
Being an active community member and volunteer has always been important to me. For over 20 years, I’ve served on the Firecracker Classic Golf Committee for the Glenview Park Foundation. The annual Firecracker Classic Golf Outing is their biggest fundraising event of the year and, at their 25th Anniversary Event in 2021, we raised over $50,000 to help parks and recreation in the Glenview community. In addition, I’m a past member of the Glenview Historical Society and was actively involved in their fundraising events. A graduate of Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Illinois, I continue to participate in industry-related seminars and conferences throughout the year—providing an extra level of knowledge to myself and, in turn, our customers.
