Volunteer Spotlight Featuring Nick Moser

January 2025 BUSEY'S VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH

Nick Moser

Living the Busey promise in his community, Nick Moser, VP – Life Equity Loan Portfolio Manager Team Lead, is being recognized as Busey’s Volunteer of the Month.

Nick has been dedicated to youth sports with the Elk Grove Park District since the age of seven, starting as an athlete and evolving into a passionate volunteer. Having witnessed the impact of committed parents and volunteers during his time as a player, he was inspired to give back and ensure that future generations had the same opportunities. His volunteer journey includes six years of coaching and serving on the Advisory Board of Elk Grove Girls Softball, including three years as President.

Currently, he coaches both of his sons in travel baseball for the Elk Grove Travelers. In addition to coaching, he serves as the Treasurer of the Elk Grove Travelers Advisory Board, overseeing six full-time travel teams and a league hosting nearly 100 teams. His commitment to creating a positive and competitive environment for young athletes is evident in his work with the board and his coaching efforts. For Nick, the most rewarding part of volunteering is seeing players grow both on and off the field.

“Travel baseball requires a significant commitment from the players and their families, and I strive to create an environment where they not only develop as athletes but also individuals. I am fortunate to coach alongside dedicated volunteers who generously share their time and expertise to support the kids’ development.”

Congratulations, Nick!
