Busey Consistently Awarded Best Bank to Work For

Busey is honored to be consistently recognized among the Best Banks to Work For by American Banker magazine and Best Companies Group since 2016. The program—which was established in 2013—identifies, recognizes and honors the best banks to work for in the nation. Busey is among nine organizations with over $10 billion in assets and one of only six banks headquartered in Illinois to make the list.

To determine the Best Banks to Work For, organizations were nominated in a two-part process. First, banks were evaluated on their workplace policies, practices and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure their experience in eight different categories, including communication, happiness and role and relationship with supervisors.

• Among the winning banks, an average of 90% of employees believe that the senior leaders at their banks live the core values of the organization. The same percentage said their employer treats them like a person, not a number. At the banks that applied but didn't make the cut, these figures were 81% and 80%, respectively.
  
  
• An average of 86% of employees at winning banks said they receive as much ongoing training as they need, compared with 77% at banks that didn't make the list.
  
  
• An average of 89% of employees said their banks have created an environment in which they can do their best work, versus 80% at nonwinning banks.

Earlier this year, Busey was named among the Best Places to Work in Illinois by the Daily Herald Business Ledger and Workforce Research Group, Best Places to Work in Indiana by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and Workforce Research Group and Best Companies to Work For in Florida by Florida Trend magazine and Workforce Research Group.
