“As we continue to enhance our organizational structure and business model, we believe Pat’s leadership, vast experience and extensive knowledge of the St. Louis market are a perfect fit for Busey’s client-focused culture,” said Sean Gallagher, Executive Vice President – Regional President at Busey Bank. “He’s a thoughtful and consistent leader with the skillset, motivation and personality to help Busey continue to build upon its significant success in the region.”

Pat, who most recently served as St. Louis Market President for Busey and has resided in the St. Louis area for more than 20 years, said it’s a great opportunity to continue to build on the success both he and the Busey organization have had since entering the market in 2004.

“I’m proud to have the opportunity to lead our talented team of associates at Busey Bank while honoring this outstanding organization’s legacy and long-tenure in St. Louis,” he said. “My family and I love being part of this community, and I’m proud to represent a company with a well-earned reputation of premiere service, strong leadership, vibrant culture and dedication to the communities we serve.”

With 27 years of commercial banking experience and over 30 years of professional business experience, Pat joined Busey after the acquisition of Pulaski Bank in 2016, where he served as vice president of the bank’s commercial lending division since 2004. He began his professional career at Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Chicago, spending five years as branch manager of two of the company’s largest offices in the market—Downtown Chicago and Midway Airport. In 1996, Pat joined LaSalle Bank in Chicago and worked for over eight years with the company, reaching the level of VP-Commercial Banking, before moving to St. Louis in 2003.
